So this was obviously my first time doing something like this and I was curious as to how the outcome would be, and for a start I was satisfied! I want to thank everyone who entered, much appreciated! Now, onto the selected Fan of the Month for September. It is…Aly! Read her story down below:
My name is Alexis but you can call me Aly for short. I’m an 18 year old girl that has a big big BIG passion for wrestling and photography! I have been a fan since I was 11 years old. (seven years now) My first live event was in 2007 (3-5-07) Oh, how I will never ever forget that day. My first live event, I was so so so excited that I had tons of butterflies in my tummy especially when Randy Orton came out sprinting to the ring too give shawn Michaels a beat down. (Sadly Orton lost) lol
Okay well enough about that.. as you may know now I have been A fan for about seven years. I will tell you the story how I got into being a big Orton fan. As my step father was watching T.V. I had came out too see what he was watching and it happen to be wrestling! A PPV going on, called “Bad Blood” (June 13th 2004) Well anyways I sat down on the floor and started to get real interested in it. When I saw this amazing man fight I was blown away. My eyes were glued to him. (Lol) And I remember I kept asking my step dad what his name was. Me being 11 at the time was already falling in love with him. Once Randy rolled up for the pin to get that win I was jumping with excitement. Finally they said his name “Randy Orton” I was so happy that after that I started to watch wrestling and follow him throughout his career. I just have to say I wouldn’t be the person that I am today if it wasn’t for Randy or the wwe. He makes me do better in life, and not give up. I truly love him, and he means the absolute world to me. There will always be A special place in my heart just for him. (He’s kinda the reason why I don’t have a boyfriend lol)
It’s 2010 and Wrestlemania 26 is in my hometown, I’m so very excited because I was going to do every thing I can to meet Randy. I had boughten me axxess tickets all day Friday and Saturday hoping I would meet Randy by his hotel as well. Once Saturday came and Randy walked down the ramp to do Q n A in the ring my heart just stopped. Having little tears come down my eyes because this was the closest to seeing Randy. Pulling my sign way up in the air that says “Alexis loves Randy Orton” hoping he would see it and he did. I put my sign down and took as many photos as I can. Once it was over he went around the ring to sign autographs. I was in the back because I didn’t buy a V.I.P which sucked. I was bummed out, but thanks to this guy that had asked me “would you like me too see if Randy will sign in it” and I said YESS please!! Randy was about leave but than came back down the ramp to sign more, he saw my sign and he signed it. I don’t know how many times I thanked the man for getting it signed for me? (Lol) After the axxess was over that Saturday I met a couple friends and we stayed by the hotel where all the wwe superstars were staying just waiting too see if any wwe superstars would show up to sign autographs. Once the Hall of fame was over and the wwe superstars were coming off the bus I waited patiently for Randy. Once Sam came by with Randy, Randy came by us but sadly didn’t sign anything or take pictures. :’( Once he left I waited for another 2 hours too see if he would come back out but never did. I had an amazing time at WM but upset at the same time because I didn’t get the chance to meet Randy. I told myself one day I will get the chance to meet him, I just need to wait till that time comes. And what do you know, my dream has come true. On June 28th 2011 he was doing a signing an Phoenix at a cricket wireless store. I was SOOO excited I got up at 6 in the morning to go wait in line too meet him. I was third in line and I waited a good six hours. I was tired, sore, hot but it was all worth it. at 12 o clock he finally came out. Like always my heart stopped and I was shaking. When It was my turn I had asked him if he would sign my Orton scrapbook. I asked him if he knew what it was and he “said no, what is it” I told him to open it and look at it, he opened it and on the first page I wrote a poem about him. He glanced threw each page saying “This is very cool, you have it all in order too” His early years, than being in Evolution, I had his career in order. I had told him that I wrote a poem about him on the first page. He looked at it and said “that is very sweet of you” than saying It was “cute” ^-^ I was speechless I didn’t know what to say. That was the best day of my entire life. I wont forget the words he said, and that beautiful smile! I told my mother that I had to meet him again, so I bought myself a Summerslam axxess ticket for Saturday. Knowing that I was going to meet him again, I was jumping off my walls (Lol not really) On August 12th I had drove to California LA. It’s 4 o clock the next day and I’m waiting in line once again. And what ya know, people are screaming “It’s Randy” My smile was so big and bright! Once It was my turn too meet him I got my gift out for him and my poem on a card that I had wrote for him. (I got the poem from my Orton scrapbook) He opened it and said “thank you very much for the gift, you didn’t have to buy me this.” I said that I wanted too, you do so much you deserve it sweetie. He got up and put his arm on my back and I put mine around his, and we both smiled for the camera. I had the time of my life meeting Randy for the second time and I will never ever forget those two days that I got to meet him. I hope to meet him again in the future.
Thanks so much for taking the time to share your awesome story with us, and congrats once again! Other people that have sent in their entries and weren’t chosen…they will be saved, so you may be the next Fan of the Month for October. So don’t be discouraged just yet!
I’m happy that this had a pretty good outcome for starts. I may do a little tweaking here and there, to make it a bit more interesting and fun for everyone! I’ll be sure to update you guys on it very soon.
